Why you’re not losing weight
Weight loss is not a linear process. Your body doesn't like change, and so it will naturally fight you to stay the same weight.
When you've reached a plateau in your weight loss efforts, it's not because you don't have the will power, or what you're doing isn't working. It just means you will have to change up your routine a bit, like confusing your body.
For example, doing steady state cardio will actually raise your cortisol (stress hormone), and can make you store fat, thus gain weight. How do you improve this? Try interval training!
Here are a couple of things you can do to break through your weight loss plateau:
1) Slightly increase your food intake (carbs can help rev up your metabolism again, but if you overconsume, your body will store the rest as fat, and it may make you gain weight.
2) Decrease your food intake by removing a meal, or doing a 24-48 hr water fast. This will keep your body in fat burning mode for a little bit longer until your next meal.
